Dear St. Andrew’s Family,
You are cordially invited to come celebrate and show appreciation for the wonderful ministry and service of our Transitional Lead Pastor, Gary Watkins, on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Dierenfield Hall. Lunch will be provided!
Join us as we gather together as a church community to express our gratitude, and bless Gary and Susan for their faithful answer to God’s call to be with us during this transitional season. We rejoice in the myriad ways their presence has blessed us.
Gary has been with us for a relatively short time, but has had tremendous impact on the life of our church, serving as our pastor, shepherd, leader, and friend. His wisdom and preaching of the word have inspired and challenged us, and his strong and infectious faith has brought us nearer to our Lord Jesus Christ. Gary’s gifts of the spirit and prayer have helped us experience God’s healing touch. His warmth and good humor have comforted and delighted us. Under his steady and focused leadership and with the guidance of God, our church has been readied for the next chapter.
We also have so appreciated Susan’s presence and friendship with us. Her service in the choir and as a Bible study teacher are only a few of the ways she has blessed the St. Andrews’ church family. Gary and Susan’s willingness to pause their retirement to lead and be with us will have a lasting impact on the heart of our community.
Please come be with us on July 17 as we bid a fond farewell to this extraordinary couple whose service to God has made such a difference in the life of St. Andrew’s.
