CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION
1. Since God doesn't tempt anyone (see James 1:13), our prayer is, "Lead us not into trials, but deliver us from evil" (Matthew 6:13). Why do we want to avoid "trials" and "testing"? What is the danger of moving through trials and tests for you?
2. Although making it through trials produces perseverence and ultimately maturity, trials are hard and fraught with danger. How can asking God for help in the Lord's Prayer end up helping us to avoid trials?
3. How can God use others to help us be delivered from evil?
4. What is a current trial with which you need help?
