SACI Preschool Jazz Dance

12:45–1:30 p.m. in Deaver
showcase May 3
No class Feb. 18 & April 8
Note: Students will be picked up from preschool by their dance teacher and go downstairs to the dance studio. The teacher will bring them back upstairs to be picked up at the regular preschool location.
Our preschool Jazz class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of technical dance in a fun and age-appropriate way. Students will explore basic technique, simple turns, leaps, body alignment, rhythm, and foundational dance positions, all while moving to upbeat music that inspires energy, creativity, and builds coordination and confidence.
Jazz dance encourages listening skills, spatial awareness, and independence while celebrating each child’s personality and natural joy for movement. The class is structured enough to teach fundamental dance technique, yet playful enough to keep young children excited and engaged.
Students will also have the exciting opportunity to shine on stage in our SACI Showcase, sharing their hard work and joy of dance with family and friends.
