NAMI Mental Illness Support Group

For families with seriously mentally ill loved ones.
First and third Sunday of each month, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., in Stewart Lounge.

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church is committed to providing information, support and encouragement for those suffering with mental illness and for families and friends of those suffering with mental illness. The Mental Illness Task Force provides current information on symptoms, treatment and upcoming lectures and seminars.

Small groups are also available for those dealing with personal mental illness. Contact Karen Natland, 949.433.8852.

NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program 

Free for family members, partners and significant others of individuals with:

Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depression), Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Co-occurring Brain Disorders, and Addictive Disorders

A series of twelve weekly classes structured to help caregivers understand and support individuals with serious mental illness while maintaining their own well-being.  The course is taught by a team of trained NAMI family member volunteers who know what  it's like to have a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders.  There is no cost to participate in the NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program.

This course is NOT for the person with the illness.  Limited to 25 participants.

C.O.P.E. - A Support Group for Care Partners

Third Tuesday of the month, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., in room B104A.

Support Group for Parents of Teens and Adults with Aspergers Syndrome

This group will be taught by Dr. A. Gantman, and will meet Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - noon, in room B015.  Schedule as follows:

Parents of teens:  Apr. 26, June 28, Aug. 23, Oct. 25

Parents of adults:  May 24, July 26, Sept 27, Nov. 22
