The December trip is only for participants who have previously been to Tecate.
A different world exists just three hours south of St. Andrew’s, across the Mexican border. Throughout the region, a steady flow of economic migrants run into an emotional and physical wall in their journey north. Unable to cross into the United States, they build makeshift homes in desperately poor shantytowns without water, electricity or sewer systems. Often thought of as a temporary stop, these communities become a permanent home for thousands. Poverty is severe, but God is at work bringing hope and transformation to the region.
For over a decade, St. Andrew’s has been ministering in northern Mexico, near Tecate. Living out our REAL values, we have developed ministry relationships with a local orphanage, a church partner and other ministries in the city. Through a variety of activities, St. Andrew’s seeks to demonstrate God’s love to our neighbors, empower the local church and bring glory to God.
We invite you to experience this safe and meaningful opportunity to do good and to grow in your faith. If you’re considering a missions experience in a foreign country, this is the place to start!

JANUARY 23 - FEBRUARY 5
Our primary focus this year is COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. What it means for our team and those we will be serving alongside in Kenya is…
1. Leadership and Pastoral Training for Pastor Joel Amonde and his team
2. Basic Preventative Medical Training in the village of Agongo
3. Supporting the leaders of a local elementary school in Agongo
4. Youth Rally in the city of Migori, where Pastor Joel ministers
5. Home visits and relationship building in the village of Agongo (a "listening" exercise)
6. Leadership training at Teen Challenge in Nairobi
Please pray with us as the team prepares for this mission. You can visit our Kenya tree in the courtyard after services to speak with the team and give a gift for the Kenya mission.
