Family Camp Summer 2014

We have two exciting options for families this summer! We are heading back to Forest Home August 10-15 and our very own Pastor Rich Kannwischer is speaking at Mount Hermon Family Camp July 6-12.

Mount Hermon | July 6-12

Mount Hermon is located in Felton, California right outside of Santa Cruz. Here your family can enjoy a week of hiking, biking, a challenge course, and other activities as you deepen your relationship with God and with your family.

Prices begin at $380 for adults and $265 for kids. Kids three and under are free! Click here for more info or to sign up!

Forest Home | August 10-15

Join us at Forest Home for Family Camp this summer! Family Camp is five nights away where families can connect with each other and God as well as build community with other families in our congregation.

5th-12th Grade Options: Not only are we going to Family Camp, but kids from Port, Asylum, and Refuge will be attending 5th-6th grade, Junior High, and High School camps. So really your 5th-12th grader has two options: They can attend Family Camp with siblings and parents where they can enjoy quality family time as well as time with peers, or they can sign up for the age-specific camps at Adventure Mountain, Creekside, and Lakeview.

**Reminder: Signups for student camps at Adventure Mountain, Creekside and Lakeview begin on Wednesday April 30, 5:30 p.m. at www.sapres.org.

Rates start at $424 for adults and $175 for kids. Children ages 2 and under are free. Sign-ups are done through Forest Home; therefore, we do not have spaces on hold, so sign up now for a fun week away! Click Here for more info and to sign up!

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Programs are offered for Saturday, 5:30 p.m.; Sunday, 9:30 and 11:11 a.m. worship services. Children sit with their families during the 8:00 a.m. service. Check in at the Children’s table in the plaza. After checking in, all families begin worship together until children are excused to room 216. Your child's classroom for pick up will be given to you at check-in.

We believe that following Jesus Christ to lead lives that reveal God’s goodness begins with Biblical teachings in a fun and creative way for elementary children.  Please join us each week as we discover God’s goodness and build community where life change happens.

OFFERING

Lent begins on 3/5. Come to Worship and receive your Lenten calendar and bank.

This year’s dedicated offering from Children’s Ministries will be going to St. Andrew's Serve partnerships in Tecate, Mexico. For more information on Tecate, click here.

Worship Participation (3rd & 4th graders)

Every weekend, 3rd-6th graders have the opportunity to participate in our Sanctuary worship by symbolically "bringing in the light" at the beginning of worship and "carrying the light out into the world" at the end of worship. This is a centuries-old tradition in the Christian Church called Acolyte. Children who have signed up and gone through Acolyte training are placed on teams throughout the year.

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS

The children's choirs meet on a weekly basis on Wednesday evenings. The Carol Choir, Kindergarten - Third Grade, is at 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. and the Chorister Choir, Fourth - Sixth Grade, is at 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sign up today! For more info, click here.

For more info, contact the Director of Children's Ministries for Kindergarten through 4th Grade, Diane Grams, at 949.574.2244 or .

Wednesdays | SHELTER

Third Grade Milestone: Living Biblically

1/15 - 3/12, 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. (No class on 2/19)

WONDERFUL WEEKDAYS
July 1 - August 16, 2013
Our summer camp, Wonderful Weekdays/WATCH, is offered to all children entering 1st through 6th grade. We have 7 weeks of fun planned. You can pick any number of weeks or days. The days are filled with activities such as cooking, arts n' crafts, recreation, swimming, themes, and field trips. We also have worship and devotions. Wonderful Weekdays has been at St. Andrew's for over 30 years. If you want your child to experience camp without going away, then this is the camp for you.

WATCH
WATCH is for K-6th grade and is open until 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday and most school holidays/conference days.

WATCH ministers to the needs of working parents and their families. Parents need quality after-school care for their elementary-age children. The goal is not to duplicate the clubs and athletic activities already available to children but to be a welcoming, homelike place where children will not only be safe, but where they can relax and be assured of their special place in God's world. WATCH provides bus transportation for children from the following elementary schools: Newport Heights, Woodland, Kaiser and Mariners.
