I’m thrilled to introduce you to Family Ministries at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church—serving children and students from birth through college seniors…and their families.
Our desire in Family Ministries is to see children, students, and their families “Follow Jesus Christ to lead lives that reveal God’s goodness.” In order for young people and their families to move toward that ideal, we’ve tried to make our church’s strategy of “Worship, Prepare, Serve, Lead” as accessible and clear as possible in these ministries.
We Worship together at our weekend services, we Prepare to follow Jesus at mid-week age-specific programs, we join the entire church in our opportunities to Serve and we look to Lead lives that reveal God’s goodness in whatever locations, circumstances and relationships we find ourselves throughout the week.
For our Prepare mid-week program, we’ve branded each of our age-specific ministries with a name/title that is synonymous with the idea of a “safe place.” We have chosen these names because we desire to create a safe place where young people can come, be themselves, wrestle with tough issues, and engage in healthy relationships with others as they prepare to follow Jesus. Here are the names of the respective ministries:
• the NEST- Birth through Pre-K
• SHELTER - Kindergarten through 4th grade
• the PORT - 5th and 6th grade
• ASYLUM - Junior High
• REFUGE - High School
• HAVEN - College
We hope this information proves to be helpful for you and your family, and we hope that you will join us in participating in the Worship, Prepare, and Serve opportunities we offer.
