After School Program

W.A.T.C.H. is open until 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday and most school holidays/conference days.

W.A.T.C.H. ministers to the needs of working parents and their families. Parents need quality after-school care for their elementary-age children. The goal is not to duplicate the clubs and athletic activities already available to children but to be a welcoming, homelike place where children will not only be safe, but where they can relax and be assured of their special place in God's world. W.A.T.C.H. provides bus transportation for children from the following elementary schools: Newport Heights, Woodland, Kaiser and Mariners. Contact Janice Zorn, 949.574.2234 or . Or contact Pam Gargan, 949.574.2281 or .

Worship Participation (3rd-6th grade)

Every weekend, 3rd-6th graders have the opportunity to participate in our Sanctuary worship by symbolically "bringing in the light" at the beginning of worship and "carrying the light out into the world" at the end of worship. This is a centuries-old tradition in the Christian church called "ACOLYTE." Children who have signed up and gone through Acolyte training are placed on teams throughout the year.

2nd Grade Family Milestone

The learning centers include:

  • A TREASURE HUNT through the Sanctuary (to discover things and places that make our worship special)
  • THE LORD’S PRAYER puzzle (to learn about prayer and why Jesus gave us a model to follow)
  • Making PRAISE PLACEMATS to take home and use at your dinner table
  • The WHO – WHAT – WHEN – WHERE – WHY game to discover who helps us to worship
  • The BELONGING game where we begin to learn what a ‘Sacrament’ is in our worship

We hope that you won’t miss this opportunity to learn and grow along with your children about WORSHIP! This is only offered for 2nd graders at St. Andrew’s; however,  if you miss it this year but have a younger child coming up, you are welcome to come as a family when the younger sibling is in 2nd grade.

Childcare is provided for younger siblings by reservation only. Contact Brieana, 949.574.2220 or to sign up.

3rd Grade Family Milestone

3rd graders (who have previously registered for the event) are invited to recieve a Bible infront of the congregation. A workshop is held to give the 3rd grader and his/her parents an opportunity to learn about their new Bibles. A special brunch follows the last service on Sunday in Dierenfield Hall. Contact Brieana, 949.574.2220 or

Young Believers Baptism

A class for children not baptized as infants who desire to make a public confession of their faith and be baptized. (Children baptized as infants desiring to learn more about their faith and make a decision to follow Christ are also welcome to join a workshop series).

Kindergarten Milestone

Held on Sunday, Sept. 19th for Kindergarteners and their families. Come learn about St. Andrew's desire to come along side your family during your faith journey. Contact Brieana, 949.574.2220 or to RSVP or for more information
