A third place is a location where people find connection and community beyond home, work or school. Here at St. Andrew’s, we want to provide this safe place, a home away from home, where all ages are welcome to make our church the third place where they come to spend their extra time. Whether it’s outside on the patio, downstairs in The House or inside one of the many rooms designed for people to meet, we want you to know these spaces are open to our church family and the community to utilize as their own. Our Third Place Team is working to make places such as Standrews Coffee Corner an extension of the community where people can come relax, visit, fellowship or even do work. We are Wi-Fi enabled for this very purpose. The Library/Bookstore here on campus is also another great destination where you can come to study, read or connect.
So where do you see yourself connecting? On the patio enjoying coffee with friends after service? Having a quiet place to work in the Library? In The House playing games with other students? Holding a book club or study session in one of our meeting rooms? Meeting with people of like interests on the patio to go hiking, bike riding or surfing? This is a place you can come to on purpose whatever your purpose. We look to be a center of the community people can come to for many purposes beyond the services offered each weekend. If you already attend service each week we want you to know you can come early and stay late. St. Andrew’s is a place where all our church members and people in our surrounding community can come connect, serve, be served, retreat and celebrate!
The Third Place Team is currently partnering with other Care and Connecting communities to create more opportunities to open our church to all of you. We will be lighting up your Summer Nights and providing you new ways to connect to a community and place that you can call your own. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
Sincerely,
The
