Thursday, May 18 | 7:00 p.m. | Chapel
One of our partners with St. Andrew’s new Anti-Human Trafficking ministry comes from an incredible organization in India called Asha Jyothi. We will be hosting a special evening where you can hear Saji give a 15 minute Ted Talk that he delivered last year, speaking on the Education and Empowerment of the Marginalized. Attendees will then get to hear about the incredible ministry of Asha Jyothi and will get to ask him questions.
Asha Jyothi works on the preventative and restoration side of those enslaved in India’s sex trade and they have a very powerful, Christ-centered ministry, specializing in skills training and job placement for those most vulnerable to being trafficked. Additionally, they have 24 children’s homes for those rescued from India’s sex trade.
You will not want to miss the opportunity to meet Saji and learn about this new partnership. Join us for a special dessert with Saji on Thursday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. In the Chapel. RSVP’s are helpful, but not required. Contact Shelley Atwood for more info or to RSVP, firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those interested in going on our first trip to India, registration is now open! The trip dates are October 27 – November 7, 2017. Click Here to apply.
